Pool Tile

The Art of the
Waterline

Pool tile serves both a functional and aesthetic role — protecting the bond beam at the waterline while defining the visual character of your entire pool. We install the full NPT contemporary collection alongside premium glass, natural stone, and porcelain options sourced from the industry's best manufacturers.

From iridescent glass mosaics that catch San Diego sunlight to classic hand-painted Spanish ceramics, the waterline tile you choose sets the tone for your entire outdoor space. Our design consultants bring sample boards to your home so you can see materials in your actual light.

All tile installations include proper setting mortar, grout selection, and a manufacturer-backed warranty. We handle pool tile for new builds, remodels, and waterline-only refreshes.

Pool Coping

The Crown
of Every Pool

Coping is the capstone material that caps the pool's bond beam — forming the finished edge between the water, the pool shell, and the surrounding deck. It protects your pool structure from water intrusion while creating the defining visual frame of your backyard.

The right coping material affects how your pool feels underfoot, how it withstands San Diego's UV and heat cycles, and how it pairs with your deck, tile, and landscape. We guide you through every option with real material samples and installation portfolio photos.

We install all major coping materials and profiles — bullnose, cantilevered, square edge, and drop face — for both new builds and complete coping replacements on existing pools.

Travertine pool coping
Natural Stone
Travertine
Warm ivory and gold tones with natural variation. Remains cool underfoot in direct sun — a major plus in San Diego. Requires sealing every 2–3 years. Classic Mediterranean character that complements almost any pool finish.
Limestone pool coping
Natural Stone
Limestone
Timeless gray-blue and cream hues. Dense and durable with a refined texture. Easily cut to custom shapes for curved or freeform pools. Pairs beautifully with quartz and hydrazzo interior finishes.
Cantilever concrete coping
Cast Concrete
Cantilever Concrete
Poured or precast concrete that overhangs the pool wall, hiding the bond beam for a seamless modern look. Can be broom-finished, exposed aggregate, or stamped. The defining element of contemporary pool design.
Porcelain paver coping
Porcelain
Porcelain Pavers
Zero-maintenance — no sealing, ever. Frost-resistant and colorfast. Available in large formats and wood-look textures. The cleanest, most architectural coping available for high-end San Diego builds.
Bullnose Edge Profile
A rounded front edge — the most comfortable for swimmers gripping the pool edge. Available in full and half-bullnose. Ideal for family pools and resorts. Works with travertine, limestone, and precast concrete.
Cantilever / Square Edge Profile
Concrete poured to extend slightly over the pool wall. Eliminates the visible bond beam. The hallmark of contemporary, hotel-quality pools. Our most requested profile for new builds in La Jolla and Del Mar.
Drop Face Profile
A finished vertical face drops below the waterline — visible from inside the pool. Adds visual depth and an architectural finish. Often combined with a glass tile waterline accent band for a polished two-tone effect.

Pool Finishes

Interior Finishes —
Choose Your Water Color

Your pool's interior finish is what touches the water, defines the color of every swim, and determines maintenance requirements for decades. We install all major finish categories — from traditional plaster to polished marble Hydrazzo — and help you match the right finish to your aesthetic, budget, and lifestyle.

Plaster Finishes
White & Colored Plaster
The original pool interior, refined. A blend of white Portland cement and marble dust — smooth, clean, and the source of the bright sky-blue water color most people picture. Colored plaster adds integral pigment for lagoon greens, midnight blacks, or Caribbean blues. Most affordable option with a well-established track record. Requires consistent water chemistry and acid washing every 3–5 years.

Quartz aggregate pool finish
Mid-Range · Most Popular
Aggregate Finish
Quartz Aggregate
Crushed quartz crystals blended with Portland cement and ceramic-coated pigment. Harder and more stain-resistant than standard plaster. A subtle sparkle in direct sunlight. Industry-leading brands like Diamond Brite have made this the value-performance standard for San Diego pools. Quartz aggregates reduce exposed cement content, significantly improving chemical resistance and longevity.

Pebble Tec pool finish
Premium · Resort-Style
Pebble / River Stone
Pebble Finish
Small river pebbles or hand-selected stones embedded in a cement matrix, then exposed by pressure washing while wet. The result mimics a natural creekbed or tropical lagoon floor. Brands like Pebble Tec are synonymous with San Diego's resort-style pools. Textures range from smooth polished river pebbles to more tactile exposed aggregate. Dramatically more durable than plaster — the pebbles themselves are the wearing surface.

Hydrazzo polished marble pool finish
Luxury · Diamond-Polished
Polished Marble Aggregate
Hydrazzo
The most luxurious cementitious finish available. Marble and quartz aggregate is troweled onto the pool shell, cured, then diamond-polished underwater to reveal a glass-smooth, jewel-like surface. Polishing closes micro-pores, making Hydrazzo the most algae-resistant and stain-resistant finish in its class. The tactile difference is extraordinary — silky smooth, yet harder than stone. Exceptional on tanning ledges, steps, and full-pool interiors in high-end San Diego builds.
